Ms Harriet Chung

Advisory Board member | Musical Theatre Teacher

Harriet Chung began her performing career as a ballet dancer and danced for professional companies in the United States in Canada before she was cast in, The Phantom of the Opera, in Toronto, Canada.  This led her career towards an international musical theatre career spanning three continents with credits such as Cats, in Hamburg, Germany, the role of Eliza in several productions of The King & I, Iron Road, The Land of Smiles, Starbright, Fiddler on Fire and Tiananmen Dreams in Canada.   She also created and played the title role in Golden Lotus in New York and Hong Kong for which she received a Hong Kong English Drama Award nomination for “Best Actress” at the 2015 Hecklers Awards.

Harriet has also choreographed for both stage and television.  She received a 2014 Ovation Award nomination for, The King & I, for “Outstanding Choreography” in Vancouver, Canada.  Harriet performed and choreographed the lead role in the opening musical of the 2006 Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant (Fairchild Television).  She also performed in and choreographed the 2014 Mandarin Profile Awards (Fairchild Television).


Harriet teaches young performers musical theatre and dance at her very own Harriet Chung Performing Arts.  Her students have won many awards at singing and dance competitions over the years.
