Head Ballet Teacher
Yang Jing Xian graduated from Shanghai Theatre Academy Dance School with Bachelor degree at 18 years old. After that she was being chosen by Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts to continue her Professional Diploma. Starting 2005, Jing Xian was on tour in Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and Japan with the Shanghai Fareast Dance Company performing the Wild Zebra. In 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 school year, Jing Xian was awarded free scholarship from Shanghai Theatre Academy. In 2007, Jing Xian was chosen by CCTV to perform in the Graduation Song together with Tam Yuan Yuan (current principal dancer in San Francisco Ballet). With outstanding performance, Jing Xian was awarded with the “Three Goods” student by the Shanghai Theatre Academy. In the same year, she has participated in the “Six Province One City Competition” and she won the “Creativity Award” with the Tchaikovsky Rhapsody. After that she has performed in the Magpie Bridge for the Shanghai International Arts Festival Closing Ceremony. In Jan 2009, Jing Xian was on tour in Beijing with the Hong Kong Ballet performing the Swan Lake. Then in Feb 2009, Jing Xian was performing Paganini in Australia with the Hong Kong Dance Company Outreach and Education Department.
In Hong Kong She has taken part in performances including Exotic Territory. INTERPRETION 2 and That Day; INTERPRETIONS brought her to the stage of the Guangdong Modern Dance Festival, CCDC 35th Anniversary Local Choreographer’s Performance and the 1st Shanghai Modern Dance Festival. She also performed <Chinese Hero>with Hong Kong dance company and performed<Trinity> in The Hong Kong Jockey Club Contemporary Dance Series-Dance Off. Recently she performed <Dream of the Red Chamber>in the co-production between San Francisco Opera and the Hong Kong Arts Festival.
